We honour ministries in support of EVANGELISM the First Mark of Mission Liturgical Ministries: Priests, Licensed Lay Readers, Servers, Intercessors, Readers, Lay administrators, Chancel Guild, Seminary Student Committee, Prayer and Eucharistic services in area Long Term Care Homes, Funeral Home Services
Outreach project this month: The London Intercommunity Health Centre at Huron and Highbury provides inclusive and equitable health care along with social services to those who experience barriers to care. Daily programs are offered for a variety of clients. Needs include: toilet paper, canned goods, family and personal size toiletries, craft items, games for all ages. Collection box is in the Narthex. All contributions gratefully accepted. Thank you!
Coffee House #28. What can we say, but a huge “Thank you” to Peter and Sandra King, Chris Chalmers, Kyle, and a host of behind the scenes helpers for yet another sunny night on a snowy day! With the continuing generosity and talent of Rick McGhie, and our own home grown talents, another night to remember.
Maple syrup Get some amazing Rolling Ridge maple syrup (they generously donate syrup for our pancake supper). Orders and your cash will be taken on February 9 and 16. Rick Kelly will pick up the orders and bring them to the church. It really is good stuff!
Nearly New Shop. If anyone is interested in volunteering at The Nearly New Shop for Tuesdays 10.00 am to 12 noon, or Saturday’s 9.00 am to 12 noon, please contact Cherie by February 14 at 519- 850- 0582. The new 6 month schedule will start in April. Volunteers usually work just once a month, and we will work around required time off.
Shrove Tuesday and our Pancake Supper. This is February 25th, and the supper is traditionally hosted by Parish Council members, but they will happily accept offers of help – give Bryan Smith a call to volunteer.
Men’s Coffee hour on Tuesday February 18th in the LGC Room at 9.30 am. All men are welcome – bring a friend.
12 Neighbours. This study series will continue Sunday in the Lloyd Cracknell Room, after the 10.00 am service. All are invited to join us.
Calling all Women! Friday February 21 at 9:30 am. We are starting a monthly women’s get together over coffee. A way to get to know one another better and make new connections! Plan to join us in the LGC Room on the third Friday morning of each month. Hope to see you there.
Adult Baptism and Confirmation. At the Great Vigil of Easter, April 11th in St. Paul’s Cathedral, there will be a baptism for adults and confirmation of those (already baptized) who seek the Laying On of Hands, and prayers. On Sunday February 9th , orientation sessions will be held at the Cathedral, from 5:30- 7:00 pm, with pizza, salad and beverages provided. Candidates, sponsors, and supporting clergy are invited to attend one of these sessions. Please speak to Fr. Bill if you are interested.
