On this Third Sunday of Lent, please join us in worshiping together apart with Fr Bill, Christina, Sharon and Allie. The scripture readings are very familiar stories – the 10 Commandments and the cleansing of the temple. In his sermon, Fr Bill looks at John’s take on the temple story. In his version, Jesus makes it clear that God, his love, grace and forgiveness, are to be found throughout his creation – not solely within the walls of churches. We have only to consider how we are participating in today’s service to recognize this to be true. Fr Bill does comment on what is gained by attending in church services while acknowledging the existence of those “thin places” outside the walls where God’s presence is manifest.
