Prayer and Pastoral Care

Please pray this week for: Joyce; Pat; Cyndi; Anne; Joyce; Jan and Bob; Phyllis; Dave and Marylynn; Victoria; Karen; Debby; Margaret and Anita; Nelson; Ray; Karen; Lauren and Nancy; Darlene and Jane; Ruth; Nancy June, Stephanie and Ron, Scott and Logan, Beth, Mary Anne, Izzy; Jen; Alison, Jamie and Cathie; Fred and Marlene; Davina and Sangeeta, Brian, Sandra; Mary; Liz and Charlotte, Clarion and Brenda and Lester; Gord; Meredith; Precious; Mary; Elsa; Betty; Laura; Vanessa; Viola; Suzanne and Rev’d Peter; Ellena and Rev’d Kim, Nicolle and Cynthia, Jack, Julie, Janie, Cindy And for others known to each of you alone and also those who have no one to remember them by name….

Rest in Peace, Gord (uncle of St Jude’s member Steve Potter). May the soul of Gord find peace eternal and rise in glory and may Steve, all the family, and friends find comfort and strength as they mourn.

Pray for: those brave souls who walked in the MS walk on Sunday, especially St Jude’s member Kerry, helping to address the challenging condition of MS.

Pray for: Bishop Todd and Our priest Bill as they continue to bring support and the ministry of their calling to the people of God.

Pray for: the souls of the 215 Indigenous children whose mass grave was recently found at a residential school in Kamloops, and closure and healing for Indigenous individuals, families, communities and our whole country, all of whom are impacted by this discovery. May this knowledge be used to help with dialogue to support reconciliation.

Pray for: all impacted by COVID19. As numbers in Ontario improve may we remember what has been learned, so as not to generate another wave of this virus. We remember those who have died; those who mourn; those whose have long lasting effects and whose lives will never be the same; the brave and dedicated care providers, front line and essential workers. And for pandemic-impacted people around the globe, who do not have the supports and resources needed to help their citizens; may there be sharing of knowledge, vaccines, medical equipment and other resources, so all may address this unseen common viral enemy, since what impacts any part of our world impacts the whole of our planet.

Pray for: those affected by adverse weather conditions, especially fires and flooding in Canada. May we heed the call to address climate change by offering support to the people, fauna, flora, and environments stressed and impacted.
