Tonight, the Ash Wednesday service of has been cancelled because of the weather.
Covid precautions
There is no longer a mask mandate for St. Jude’s, but wearing a mask is always your personal
choice. However, if you are not feeling well, have a cough, sore throat, runny nose, etc., please
do not attend any event at St. Jude’s.
Coffee hours have also resumed between the two Sunday services.

The office is open from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Outreach
Outreach for February.
London Intercommunity Health Centre:
Daily programs are offered to clients and community members to improve their health and
wellness, such as arts and crafts, nutrition classes, book club, Indigenous sharing circles, harm
reduction sessions and personal growth workshops.
Needs: toilet paper, canned goods, family size and personal toiletries, crafts, cards, games.

Breakfast Program. Last Saturday we served 72 take away breakfasts, which included an
egg and beef breakfast wrap. Anyone interested in joining the volunteer teams in March as we move indoors. please contact the office at 519-660-6198. Our next breakfast is Saturday 4th
March, from 9 – 10.30. Come and see your generosity at work!
St. Paul’s Food Bank
Our next Food Bank Sunday is Sunday, 12th March. They usually appreciate Cereals , Mac &
Cheese , Spaghetti Noodles , spaghetti Sauce , coffee and tea bags, and containers.
Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal
The PWRDF is appealing for donations to help the rescue or recovery efforts in those stricken

Learning Together
Lenten Study
Lent begins today, Ash Wednesday **.
During the season of Lent we typically offer a faith formation program, but Fr. Bill is
recommending we join, via Zoom, London Deanery’s study, focusing on a book by Amy-Jill
Levine called “Entering the Passion of Jesus; A Beginner’s Guide to Holy Week.”
Fr. Bill has 10 copies of the book available for purchase at a cost of $25. If you would like one,

The series runs from 7.30 to 8.30 pm, every Monday, beginning on 27th February, and
concluding on April 2nd with a session with the author of the book. Call 519-471-1430 or go to

Anglican Fellowship of Prayer presents:
The Bishop’s Prayer Conference on Saturday May 6th, 2023 at 10:00 am – 3 pm at the Church of St. Jude, London. Cost $20.00.
“The Intersection of Prayer and Music: Encountering these practices as Individuals and as Faith
Communities”, with the Rev’d Andreas Thiel, Rector of St. Matthew’s, Windsor and former
professional musician.

Fellowship
Men of St. Jude! will be meeting at the Alibi Roadhouse for lunch Monday March 13th
at 11:30 AM. All St. Jude’s men are invited and welcome.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. A greater turnout than expected – thanks to all who came for
pancakes and sausages. And thanks to all the volunteers and to Deb Prothero for your hard work
and donations of food. Donations topped $1500.00 which will be added to by our Outreach
committee- this money will go to support the work of the PWRDF. Thank you for your
generosity!
