Each year the women (IW-Intrepid Women) of St Jude’s have engaged in a summer/fall week get-away in nature. This has taken many forms from backpacking in Algonquin Park; to paddling down the Trent from Kingston to Ottawa; to a rustic cottage on an island in Lake Nipissing; to yurting with day paddles in various locations to spending a long weekend in fun fellowship and lots of winter walks and elaborate food adventures. And on a weekend in February, they rent a cottage on Lake Huron to enjoy fellowship, winter walks, cross country skiing, and an outdoor evening singsong and celebration of communion.
