Our next Paul’s Place food bank Sunday is Sunday, 14th June.
Breakfast program- we served 150 breakfasts this past Saturday. Books, magazines, and puzzle books are really appreciated - both for children and adults. As you consider new sandals and sneakers for summer, we have visitors who will be happy to take on your last year’s model - women’s, men’s and children. We give grateful thanks for your generosity in supporting this vital outreach ministry! Our next breakfast is Saturday June 6th 9 - 10:30 am. All are welcome!
Helen Poole. Helen, who was a significant contributor to the music at St. Jude's, especially in the early years of the new building, died in 2023. In her honour a recital has been arranged at 3.00 pm on Saturday 30th May, featuring good friends of Helen, Alexandre von Wartburg and Eliza Lam, on bassoon, harp and piano. Voluntary offerings will help support the church’s music program.
2026 Yard Sale. The 2026 Yard Sale will be Saturday June 13th, 8 am - noon. Contact Derek Shadlock to reserve a table. As in other years it will be a 50/50 profit split.

Education for Ministry (EfM) Open House – EfM is a small group experience focussed on how faith connects and is lived in everyday life. One of EfM’s face-t0-face mentoring groups meets at St. Jude’s on Tuesday mornings. Interested in learning more? Attend one of the upcoming Open Houses: June 10th at 7:00 pm (in person), August 26th (virtual). Reach out at EFM@huron.anglican.ca to indicate you’re coming or with any questions. Also, speak to Sharon Frank here at St. Jude’s.
The Heart Sees Further – Each Wednesday, Father Kevin offers a brief spiritual reflection on St. Jude’s Facebook page. This coming Wednesday will be the last in a series on six spiritual streams that have shaped generations of Christians. The following week, he will start a new seven-week series called The Interior Castle, based on a piece of classic, devotional writing by St. Teresa of Ávila. As you view each reflection please hit “like” and “share.”
Coming Up: Two New Preaching Series – Beginning on Sunday, May 31st, Father Kevin will offer two special summer preaching series, alternating weekly. On May 31, June 14 & 28, and July 12 & 26, you’re invited to Lift Up the Cup — a thoughtful and reverent series exploring faith through sermon titles inspired by classic cocktails (with recipes shared each week for those who wish to enjoy them at home!). On the alternate Sundays — June 7 & 21, and July 5 & 19 — we will enjoy Crazy Eights, a series of concise and meaningful messages, each approximately eight minutes in length. Summer worship will continue at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. until September. Celebrate, reflect, and grow through the refreshing word of God this summer season.
Exploring the Epistle to the Ephesians – The Church of St. John the Evangelist has invited the people of St. Jude’s to join in an online study of the Letter to the Ephesians on Wednesday evenings, 7:00-8:00 pm, throughout the summer. These online sessions will be facilitated by Tom Mawlam who is the licensed lay reader at St. John’s, with occasional drop-ins by the clergy of St. John’s and St. Jude’s. Tom will visit St. Jude’s on some upcoming Sundays to introduce himself. For more info, please speak to Father Kevin.
