We are going to do another virtual coffee hour next week and if you have not yet participated and would like to, please send an email to Fr Bill at [email protected] indicating you would like to participate and you will be included. Those who already participated will automatically be included and so do not need to send me an email again.

Outreach

St. Paul’s Social Services Food Bank – this Sunday, 10th May, should be our day to support the food bank, but of course this is not possible at the moment. So, Laura Fairbairn suggests that we repeat what we did for April, send them money, gift cards, etc., so that they can get the things they need. Mail to the Food Bank at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 472 Richmond Street, N6A 3E6. They will issue tax receipts.

Community Breakfast – The next regular Community take out breakfast is Saturday 16th May, 9 – 10.30 am. Treat a guest to breakfast! For a $5.00 donation to the Community Breakfast Program, you can provide a guest with a take away breakfast- in- a- bag. Just drop your donation into the Church mailbox (label the envelope clearly). Thanks to all for your support to give our guests a nutritious breakfast.

Fundraising

FundScrip – Rick has had inquiries and received a couple of orders for Fundscrip cards, and will take orders if you drop your order, along with a cheque, in his mail box at 17 Daleview Crescent. If you have any questions please call Rick at home. (519) 660-4704. He will advise on card delivery later. A great way to raise funds for the church by just prepaying for those groceries and gas.

Cycle of Prayer for May: Transformation – Transforming Society

“To seek to transform unjust structures of society”, to challenge violence of every kind, and to pursue peace and reconciliation, is a call to go beyond charitable giving and help change a world that creates human needs. To join in God’s work in building the Kingdom by transforming society. Prayer: Lord, let the fire of your goodness and justice burn into us and through us that we may seek to transform the unjust structures of society. Let your glory fill this place, Let your glory fill this world!

We honour ministries in support of TRANSFORMING SOCIETY: the Fourth Mark of Mission- Support for: New comers to Canada and LIRSA, North East Neighbourhood Group, Marriage Cannon Work – Marriage inclusivity, Pride Walk, Crisis Response, PWRDF, London Food Coalition, IJM (International Justice Mission) Prayer Partner.

Interim Tax Receipts

At the end of April, as Parish Council directed, we should have printed interim tax receipts so that you can see how you are doing. That would not be possible now since you can’t come and pick them up, and we don’t want the expense of mailing them all. However, if you would like one, please let the office know and we shall be happy to print one and mail it to you.

Let’s Celebrate!
