Although family and friends miss him, may they continue to be thankful for the gift of his long and good life. The Rev. Canon J.B. Peever. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory. Pray that Lynda family and friends find comfort and peace as they mourn. Gayle Stocks; (good friend of Marjorie Leitch). May Gayle’s soul Rest in Peace eternal and rise in glory, and family and friends find strength and comfort.

Prayers: as COVID19 continues to stabilize in some parts of the world and yet is running rampant in other areas, may all of humanity remember we are all in this together. The world is only as resilient as the most vulnerable amongst us.  We ask for patience and common sense to prevail as we move to loosen Pandemic restrictions. May decisions be guided by science and the advancement of knowledge as we come to know the virus in our midst.

Pray for: the many lives impacted by racism. May there be a genuine concerted will in individuals and in institutions to respect the integrity of all God’s children. We ask for social justice for the marginalized and oppressed throughout the globe and at home.

Pray with thanks for:  our Bishop Todd and our priest Bill, who accept the challenges of technology to bring worship and updates to the body of Christ. Thanks to Bill for organizing Zoom coffees breaks so parishioners can remain connected and experience fellowship.

Cycle of Prayer for July and August – Living the Marks of Mission

When you listen with all your heart, honour your elders; encourage young people to be active in church often and loudly; choose good over evil; welcome the stranger; write to the government about the issues that matter; invite a co-worker to church; help your dad do housework; get messy with school kids; say “Thank the Lord” and mean it! Tweet your blessings one by one; introduce your grand-kids to nature; read and share God’s word. Pray, THEN YOU ARE LIVING THE MARKS OF MISSION!
