Prayers: As COVID19 continues to stabilize in some parts of the world and yet is running rampant in other areas, may all of humanity remember we are all in this together. The world is only as resilient as the most vulnerable amongst us.

Rest in Peace: Mervyn Roberts (brother of Keith). May his soul find eternal rest and rise in glory, and brother Keith and all the family find strength and comfort in their time of grief. Douglas Mercer. A long time Cursillo member and active in the Burlington Anglican community. May light perpetual shine on Doug’s soul and rise in glory. Pray for his daughter, the Rev’d Cannon Susan Wilson, and family, as they come to terms with their loss and mourn his passing.

Thanks for: all of you who have faithfully offered prayers and kept listed persons in your thoughts for the last several months. There is such a need, and we give thanks for the people whose names have been removed from our list and no longer need active prayer.

Pray with thanks: for our Bishop; Todd and our priest; Bill, who accept the challenges of technology to bring worship and updates to the body of Christ. Thanks to Bill for organizing Zoom coffee breaks so parishioners can remain connected and experience fellowship.

As the issues: around Racism become more known we pray that all people, made in the image of God, are treated with dignity and justice.

Pray: for all persons adversely impacted by above average temperatures and other weather related effects of global climate change, especially persons without adequate cooling, water, and other necessities of life.

Outreach

Community Breakfast Program – The next take out breakfast is Saturday, 18thJuly;9.00 – 10.30 am.We give thanks once again for the generous donation of funds by parishioners to support our Community Breakfast. In particular, a donation of $272.00 from the now retired St. Alban’s Men’s Breakfast group, which will more than cover one take away breakfast. Unfortunately, a similar ministry scheduled to start up on March 28th here at St. Jude’s was derailed by the pandemic. Let’s all pray that this important fellowship opportunity can get started in the fall. In the meantime, the 43 guests served this past Saturday enjoyed fresh strawberries along with a cheese and sausage McMuffin, and for the first time, clothing and personal items available for guests were displayed on tables on the lawn for easier access.
