Mrs. Colleen Heckendorn, (mother of the Rev’d Canon Kim Van Allen). Ms. Dawn Idenden, (sister-in-law of the Rev’d Canon Nick Wells). Pray for – the Anglican Church in South Sudan, following a brutal attack. Pray for the souls of the departed; the healing of the victims; the rescue of the kidnapped; and the will of the people to rebuild their lives.

Pray for – Beirut, Lebanon, for all those who lost their lives. May their souls find rest and rise in glory. For those who lost their livelihood and their homes; for the injured and hurting people; all the victims of this horrendous tragic event. May they find strength and courage to work for all; to rebuild their community; the economy; and overcome the corruption that helped put them in this untenable position.

Pray for – all people whose lives are directly and indirectly impacted by COVID19. Pray for the dying; the sick and the recovered. Pray for those who tirelessly work to provide essential services to their fellow human beings, those that offer care and support, those who devote themselves to find treatment, ways of control, and hopefully a vaccine or other cure.

Pray for – all who offer leadership and support within the church, especially Bishop Todd; our priest Bill; the Lay Readers and parish volunteers. All helping to provide our weekly virtual services, and who offer hope and much needed spiritual guidance.

Pray for – all persons striving to advance the anti-racism message and actions, so that all members of the human race will experience justice and peace with respect for and love of all, for all are beloved children of God.

Cycle of Prayer for July and August – Living the Marks of Mission WHEN YOU listen with all your heart; honour your elders; encourage young people to be active in church often and loudly; choose good over evil; welcome the stranger; write to the government about the issues that matter; invite a co-worker to church; help your dad with housework; get messy with school kids; say “Thank the Lord”, and mean it; tweet your blessings one by one; introduce your grand-kids to nature; read and share God’s word.
