IN NEED OF PRAYER? KNOW SOMEONE IN NEED OF PRAYER? During the pandemic we can no longer use the prayer request book in the church Narthex to request prayer, but that does not mean the request for prayer is gone. There are many and different ways: – You can always contact Sharon Frank (prayer team leader) at 519-933-3164 or [email protected]  – Convey your request via any member of “The Prayer and Pastoral Care Team”, who will pass it on to Sharon. – A request can be made via the church office Monday to Friday from 9:00am-1:00 pm at 519-660-6198 or [email protected] . – There is a prayer request section on our own St Jude’s website, www.churchofsaintjude.ca  – For crisis spiritual needs and associated prayer, contact our priest Bill Ward at 519-660-6198 or [email protected] .

Outreach

Activity for the month of October – Each October we collect funds to send Christmas presents north to Kenora to distribute to families in need through the Cathedral there. The ACW pays for the shipping. Enough new things have been saved through the year from the Nearly New Shop for adults. Any funds collected will be for children’s games, toys, underwear, scarves, hats etc. You can donate towards this by putting funds on the collection plate, dropping off at the office or giving money to Cherie Laughlin (mailbox C14). You can also drop off new things at the church. Coloring books, crayons, pencil crayons, books, card games, small stuffed toys or dolls, small Matchbox cars, hockey pucks, jewelry kits etc. Please have items or funds to the church by October 25th. This will give for shopping and have the things to Kenora early November so they can be organized for Christmas. Thanks to all of you for your ongoing support!
