Easter. Many thanks go to all who worked so hard to make our Holy Week and Easter Day so
memorable this year; the Chancel Guild for keeping our church so lovely, Christina and the
choir (wonderful to have a choir once again!) for the Good Friday Cantata, and music at the
services, the (new) Wardens for looking after things, of course Fr. Bill and Hayden for
inspirational leading (and great to have visits from Fr. Matt), the readers, Glenda and her team
for faithfully live-streaming services, Deb our janitor for keeping things sparkling, and many
others who worked behind the scenes. It was wonderful to see the numbers in church as we
slowly climb out of the Covid hiatus.

Bonnets! The Easter bonnet parade was quite the success last Sunday, and there was a lot of
picture taking going on. Cathy would like to put a selection of the photos in her next Newsletter,
so if you have some good ones you don’t mind sharing, please forward them to the church
at [email protected]

4-5months old babies.
With sincere thanks from the Outreach committee for your continued support.

Breakfast Program.
We are so thankful to our parishioners, families and friends who make it possible for us to serve
150 breakfasts each month. the rising costs of food, meal programs and food banks across
the country are seeing a significant rise in the number of those needing help. Do you have a
favourite retailer or service organization that could support our program? Perhaps they would
like to provide funding for one Saturday or one month? Please share the news of our program
and together we can continue to help our brothers and sisters in our community.
Come and check us out – this Saturday April 15th from 9 – 10:30 am. All are welcome!

St. Paul’s Food Bank
Our next Food Bank Sunday is 14th May.

Save the date:
On Saturday June 24th there will be a Strawberry Social at St Jude’s, a served lunch with
strawberry desserts. We are also planning a garden sale of plants – indoor and outdoor, and a
few garden themed items. The cost will be $25.00 per person, those 12 and under $10.00. More details to follow and tickets will be available mid April.
Those who left their ticket money in trust from the Christmas tea should indicate to Kathy in the
office whether they would like to transfer their ticket to this event, donate it to the church or
request a refund. We would ask that this be completed by April 24th.
(this will keep our accountants happy).
Sherry Shadlock and the Fund Raising/Social Committee.

And, here’s an idea:
Get a head start on donating some plants for the sale in June. Splitting and starting new plants
from cuttings is a great way to multiply your favourites. Starting now means you will have a
nice little potted indoor plant to share. Once it is a little less muddy and you can get in the
garden, keep your overgrown perennials in mind for sharing as well.
