Outreach
Outreach for November is St. Paul’s Christmas Share. Financial donations are forwarded to
St. Paul’s Social Services to purchase gift cards to provide Christmas food and gifts for families
in need.
Breakfast Program
We have talked about seeking outside funding for the Breakfast Program for some time. Jo
Anne C. took on this job and has worked tirelessly this Fall to recruit support from local
businesses. A list of donors will be available soon and we encourage everyone to say thanks to
these supporters if a business you routinely visit is on the list. Some donors gave us gifts that we
plan to have on offer at the bazaar. Thank you Jo Anne!
While Glenda is away, Sheila D. and Deb B. are taking the lead on the program so
get in touch if you have questions, donations, or are interested in participating. Our next
breakfast is this Saturday November 18th, 9 -10:30 am.
All are welcome.
St. Paul’s Food Bank
Our next Food Bank Sunday is Sunday 12th December.
ACW November meeting report.
The Christmas bale has been sent to Kenora. The ACW has had a connection to this community
for many years.
We were able to ship 6 boxes of clothes, toys, games, crayons etc. to be distributed to those in
need. Thank you all for your contributions. They are very appreciative as the costs of things up
North are very much higher than they are here.
The Christmas Bazaar is getting closer: Saturday November 25, 2023 from 9am to 1pm.
Learning Together
The Weekly Bible Study continues via Zoom on Thursday evening at 7.00pm. Everyone is
welcome.
You can attend every week or just occasionally if that is what your schedule allows. We will
hear a passage of scripture read a number of times. Each time the passage is read participants
will be asked to reflect on a different question. Following each reading of the passage
participants will be invited to share their thoughts and reflections on the question they were
asked to think about.
This is a very informal approach to reading and talking about scripture and again everyone is
welcome.
