Breakfast Program
It was a very busy day last Saturday. We served all 120 prepared hot meals and then had to
scramble to put together another 11 cold breakfasts with what we had in the ‘fridge.
131 breakfasts for our friends was a new record!! As many decided to eat in we realized that we
are going to have to set up more tables and chairs next time to accommodate everyone. We
outfitted many with the donations of clothing and footwear. With the cooler weather arriving,
we are looking for mens and womens coats and boots in good repair, especially in large and
extra-large sizes.
Our next breakfast is on December 2nd from 9:00 -10:30. Set up day is Friday, December 1st
from 9:30 – 11:30. Everyone is welcome to come and see what we do and maybe lend a hand.
Reminder: Our special Christmas breakfast will be on December 16th with the favourite
breakfast casserole and Christmas-y treats from our bakers in the breakfast buffet. We are
seeking cash donations to help purchase some gift cards for our Breakfast Friends at this annual
event.
