If you come at your usual time for the 8.30 service on Sunday, only to find it’s over, it’s because
you forgot to put your clocks forward the night before. Yes, believe it or not, it’s “Spring
forward” time this weekend, and your clocks should go forward one hour.
But, good news, you’ll be in good time for the 10.00 am service!

First Reading: Numbers 21.4-9
Psalm 107.1-3, 17-22
Second Reading: Ephesians 2.1-10
Gospel John 3.14-21
Psalm response: “God’s steadfast love endures for ever”

Outreach

Outreach for March. Due to the need in our community we felt support for the Community
Breakfast Program and the St. Paul’s Food bank would be really appreciated. There are 3 full
breakfasts in March, 2nd, 16th and 30th. And, for St. Paul’s Food Bank, March 10th.

Breakfast program
We served 115 breakfast friends. The hot entrée was beef and egg wraps.
We thank our volunteers:
Last Friday:
• 10 who prepared the wraps ready for cooking, wrapped the muffins and treats, and
prepared food boxes for our breakfast families
• 4 who sized and hung the clothing donations, sized the shoe donations, put out hats,
scarves, socks, and miscellaneous linens and kitchenware.
on Saturday morning, including
• 4 in the kitchen
• 8 serving the breakfast buffet
• 2 delivering toiletries from the trolley
• 4 visiting with and assisting our breakfast friends
We also thank Kathy in the office and Deb our custodian for their ongoing support of the
Breakfast Ministry.
We assisted a young man newly employed in a construction job looking for warm clothes to
wear.
Two thin air mattresses that were recently donated found a home with a suitable candidate.
Our hot beverage service has now pivoted to self-serve, which has been enthusiastically received
by our breakfast friends.
We have had requests for the following:
Shoes: size 12 men’s shoes and running shoes, size 11 women’s shoes and size 13 boy’s shoes.
Clothing: Size 10 clothing for 6 ft. tall, size 40 to 46 men’s jeans.
Toiletries; Soap, shampoo, body wash, shave cream, tooth brushes, deodorant and Gillette
disposable razors ( these last longer than no name brand).
The next Breakfast is on Saturday 16th March.

St. Paul’s Food Bank. Our next Food Bank Sunday is this Sunday, 10th March. As always,
they will appreciate cereal, canned meat, canned vegetables, baked beans, pasta sauce, peanut
butter, coffee and tea, rice, granola bars and toilet paper.
