April 22nd.

Breakfast Program
We served 101 at our last breakfast, and the team will prep for 120 this week. With the
warming weather, friends are looking for lighter clothing such as tee-shirts and cotton clothing.
Did you know that we are happy to take small kitchen items and appliances such as toasters that
are in good repair?
Thank you as always for the outstanding support given to this program. Our next breakfast is
this Saturday April 20th. All are welcome!

St. Paul’s Food Bank. Our next Food Bank Sunday is 12th May.

• Supporting Refugees
For several years, PWRDF has supported the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza with surgical
equipment, improved access to health care and during emergencies. After the violence this past
weekend, its director, Suhaila Tarazi, issued an emergency appeal to support its health services
in this time of crisis. PWRDF has responded with a grant of $30,000. This grant will cover the
cost to employ six additional nurses, two doctors, five operating room specialists, one
psychosocial specialist and four cleaners to work at the hospital for the next three months.
Janette Newcombe will be setting up a display board to share information on the excellent work
that is done by this organization.
